Day 1
Fly into Marrakesh and we'll arrange a private transfer to your hotel in the Palmeraie or medina. Tonight you'll enjoy a food tasting tour to the famous Jemaa el-Fna square in central Marrakesh – seeing this with a guide makes it a much easier experience when you have kids in tow!
Day 2
This morning you'll have a tour of the souqs and medina with a local guide. This is a fun, low-key and interactive way to get into the swing of Moroccan culture. You have this afternoon at leisure; we suggest heading to Jardin Majorelle, which is also a lovely spot for children.
Day 3
You'll venture out of Marrakesh today and head to Agafay Stone Desert to spend a night under the stars – a truly Moroccan experience! You'll have a camel-ride through the other-worldly landscape here, and enjoy a traditional Berber meal in the evening.
Day 4
You'll be picked up from your camp this morning and head further up into the Atlas Mountains for a stay of two nights. Your transfer should only take an hour or so, and you have the afternoon at leisure to relax by the pool.
Day 5
A day for you to enjoy your incredible surroundings – go mule trekking, take on some easy hikes from the hotel, or we can arrange a Berber experience so you can understand some of the fascinating local culture.
Day 6
You'll be picked up from your hotel in the Atlas today and transferred over to Essaouira for a stay of three nights. This laid-back beach town is sure to provide the perfect setting for a relaxing end to the trip.
Day 7
Spend today pottering around Essaouira's beautiful little medina, or go camel riding on the beach. If your children have a good sense of adventure then surf lessons are also available from many of the surf shops along the shoreline.
Day 8
A final day for you to enjoy sunny Morocco. There is a lovely pastry workshop in Essaouira that we can recommend for foodie families – it's a lovely thing to be able to take home with you!
Day 9
You'll be picked up from your hotel in Essaouira and taken back to Marrakesh Airport via private transfer.

A mere three hour flight across the Mediterranean, Morocco is a wonderful destination for families – Moroccans love children and your young ones will open doors and relax attitudes as you travel around. The sights, sounds and smells of the souqs in Marrakesh will be fascinating for them, as will the bright colours of the Jardin Majorelle where you can weave between the leafy walkways and spot terrapins in the ponds. If you don’t want your family in the thick of the medina, an oasis-like region called the Palmeraie, just outside the city, could be the perfect option for more space and some beautiful hotels.

Thankfully the Agafay Stone Desert and many hotels in the Atlas Mountains are only an hour or so from Marrakesh, so this makes an excellent next stop for a night under the stars followed by adventure with a stunning backdrop. Ending the tour in the relaxing coastal haven of Essaouira, there’s a long stretch of beach ideal for running around on or a camel ride if the kids want the full Moroccan experience!

2 nights Marrakesh Palmeraie – 1 night Agafay – 2 nights Atlas Mountains – 3 nights Essaouira
